My Filipina wife, Lorna, first arrived in Boracay in 1979 while on holiday from her job as Visa Officer at the British Embassy in Manila and bought her first 1000sqm beachfront property in Diniwid. I arrived in Jan 1980 and we later hooked up in Seoul in 83 and met each other for a romantic 10 days in Boracay and were married at San Augustin Church in Manila in 1985. In 1989 we bought 3 properties, one in Angol, Boracay and two in Tabon, Caticlan ( the mainland island of Panay ).We built our first beachfront resort, Villa Camilla in 1990, opening Jan 7 1991. Meanwhile we bought a nearby beachfront property 4 times the size of ours in Sept. 1990, sold Villa Camilla in Jan, 1995 and opened our new nearby resort March 29, 1995. So after we changed our marketing and room rates from short term stays to long term yearly stays in 2002, registered our resort as CASA CAMILLA BORACAY we became nearly fully booked with yearly guests by 2007. Since 2008 we decided to focus on local Boracay area real estate investment & development.
